I’m Ashley, the math educator behind Problem-Solving Math. I have always loved math & thinking outside the box to find solutions. Proof: I took so many college math courses during high school that I started university as the only freshman in senior-level Calculus!

Since middle school, I have tutored students in all subjects & grades - reading, math, science, even phlebotomy! It wasn’t until enrolling in my dream (non-education) program, continuing my tutoring side-hustle, & volunteering to teach for an after-school program that I realized my passion for math education.

With a Master’s degree, current state teacher licensure, and middle school math teaching experience, I help students & teachers alike overcome their math fears with strategies & resources that WORK. I am proud to model what it means to be a lifelong learner by holding professional certificates in Administration, Secondary Mathematics & Science, & Elementary Education. Additionally, I am an ACT-Certified Educator™ and former founding member of the National Test Prep Association preparing students for college-readiness exams.

My goal is clear: support & encourage math teachers & students with resources & strategies designed to integrate real-world, conceptual learning into traditional math education. I offer curriculum supplements & instructional materials through my Teachers Pay Teachers store, provide math tutorials on my YouTube channel, & offer math & test preparation tutoring services from my local Parkersburg, WV office.
